• KEAD does not sell retail from the shop in the Dallas area.
  There are a number of gun stores and ranges that retail KEAD bullets in the Dallas area.

• CREDIT CARD SALES - IMPORTANT - We are a manufacturer, not a store front operation.  So, it's not practical for us to cast 2000 of the 240 gr swc, size them, box and label them and ship them for one customer, and then change out the machines to make 2000 of the 158 gr swc, size them, box them, label and ship them for another customer, etc.  Won't produce very many bullets each day with that approach......  So, we generally cast 10-15000 of the same style each day.  Those bullets might not be sized for another two weeks.  Turn around time is currently running 3-6 weeks.   So, credit cards are generally charged when your ordered bullets are cast.  They have your name on them at that time - even if it takes three weeks before they are mailed.  My money for the alloy is tied up from the time the bullets have your name on them.  If you don't receive the bullets as quickly as you feel you should get them, please call either 214-704-2729 or 972-625-3302, and we will do a CREDIT to your card to return your money.  Don't feed guilty about canceling your order - there is a long waiting list for my bullets, so I just put someone else's name on them.   Customers need to understand this delay from casting your custom order to mailing them.

• KEAD does sell  to reloaders  in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area who purchase in quantities of 5000 or more - free delivery . For small amounts of bullets, please support your local dealer.

• KEAD does sell to internet customers the bullets listed on this
  site for the prices listed and ships throughout
  the USA.  These are manufacturer's prices.  We think that since a web customer has to pay some shipping, this price seemed the way to go..........    Dealers and ammo companies have a lower price than is listed.

• Prices ? Here's how we view pricing......  First is retail.  You can purchase one item on the spot, item in stock.  Second is wholesale.  You have to purchase a larger quantity, but at a lower price - items usually in stock.  Third is manufacture.  You can purchase one or many - but,  we will probably have to make them for you - items frequently NOT in stock.  To give you the lowest price, we stock 25 lb bars of alloy - not nicely boxed bullets.  We can't see having 25000 bullets of the 200 gr SWC setting on the shelves when everyone wants 180 gr FP this week.  Of course, next week is different.  This system gives you the best price, if you don't mind waiting for bullets.  And, if you do shoot lots of bullets, best price is the way to go..........  You will notice that the price per bullet drops "big time" when you look at the prices of the 100 ct boxes vs the 1000 ct - lots more labor at our end boxing and labeling five of the 100 ct boxes as to doing one of the 500 ct boxes.

• A state sales tax of 8.25% must be collected on sales in the state of Texas unless you have a resale certificate.

• PayPal cannot be used per their policy.  Checks, and money orders are

KEAD can ship the 100 ct sample boxes by Priority Mail for a  flat rate of $4.80 - anywhere in the USA.
KEAD can also ship 250 bullets by Priority Mail for a flat rate of $4.80 plus $1.70 insurance.
For orders of 500-2000  bullets, KEAD ships by Insured Priority Mail anywhere in USA for $ 11.55.  Note, these boxes have cardboard liners and extra tape.  Postage is only $ 9.85 without insurance, but..............

We can get four (4) boxes of 500  bullets - total 2000 bullets - into one Priority Mail
Flat Rate Box for only $ 11.55.  Bullet weights from 95 gr to 230 gr .
On bullet weights over 230 gr, we get four (4) boxes of 250 bullets each into one
Flat Rate box - still only $ 11.55.   Much better than the UPS rates.  Shipping wise, it means that the customer pays $ 11.55  postage for 1000 bullets and $ 0  the second 1000 bullets  (up to 230 gr weight) - NOT A BAD DEAL !!!!

The alloy used in KEAD bullets is a 2% tin, 8% antimony mix - very hard and clean. The usual mix is a 2%, 6% alloy. The 2/6 is good for most velocities. With the 2/8, the reloader can push the bullet just a little faster.
Why the 2/8 mix? Here in the Dallas area, that material was used for keels in sailboats and available in tonnage weights. Costs a little more than the 2/6 mix, but makes harder bullets that run well in Glocks - stock Glock barrels.  Alloy is currently produced by Lead Products of Houston, Tx.  Excellent product, and an analyses sheet is available if the customer requests a copy.
